i like to streach and explore in my sketches. you can see in the middle that i had made my original sketch on this page but wanted to also try my colors and see if it was exactly what i wanted. I also am developing craft as i try new ways of doing things, like blending colors and going from thick to thin lines and going from dark to light on a large scale. if you look at this finished work from this sketch then you would see how they incorperate into eachother. like why i sketched homethingd and what they ended up being on my finished work.

reflecting on current project

“What has been the most difficult part of this project? How did you work through any problems you may have had?”

the most difficult part for me was really figuring out how i wanting to lay everything down on my paper and what kind of media i wanted to use. once i figure thous out i only hit a few more trouble some spots, like i couldn’t dicide on colors, didnt know how to fill in a lot of the negivite space i had in my work. i figured it out with a little help by talkingit out with the people around me.
I alway try to find things that i dont like and see how i can make things better but i realized i sometimes end up messing the whole thing up, this time if i thought something looked a little off i left it and moved on, waited for it to fall into place with the rest of my work and if i still thought it was off then i would touch it up.

1. What have you learned this year about your own PROCESS -or- the kinds of thinking you do when you are planning, making and looking at works of art?
i like to try and envision the perspective of other artist and look at my own work and try and see what others would envision my work as. i like to observe other, more advanced artist to see if i could pick things up. I’ve really been using engage and persist because i realize i always reach a point were i wont like my work for a little while, but if i fallow threw that i end up liking it in the end again.

2. Write a few paragraphs about the role your process journals (reflections/sketches) and the blog have played in the way you think about your process-AKA the way you do your work in this class.
my process journal has help me a lot cause once i start sketching things out and drawing diff things it really helps me envision how my work will possibly look. i didn”t know how to start my last project but i just stopped thinking about it and drawing little pictures here and there and really liked what i saw so i put it all together for my mapping questions.
I haven’t really got into the blogging untill now, but i don’t really mind it all that much, i feel it kinda helps get a point across on a larger scale. i like being able to see everyones pont of few all organized in one place.

3. What happens when you make an effort to be aware of your artistic process?
if you can step back and see how your doing things maybe you can find a more efficent way of doing what you previously were. you can also possibly learn more about the way your own mind works by seeing how you figure things out, or see how you can look at things differently.
